Ford Philanthropy Scholarship
The Ford Philanthropy Scholarship is a new program for four-year college students pursuing STEM-related career areas that support the Electric Vehicles and Advanced Manufacturing Industries. The fund will specifically provide support for tuition and education-related costs that are critical for students to thrive in their studies, helping to develop critical Future of Work skills that will help them succeed after graduation.
Qualified college juniors and seniors are eligible to receive $10,000 scholarships. Funds will be disbursed directly to the recipient’s college or university to be applied towards tuition or education-related costs.
Eligibility Requirements
For consideration of the Ford Philanthropy Scholarship program, applicants must meet the requirements below:
- Must major in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Software Engineering
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Must attend an accredited college or university full-time within 60 miles of one of the following areas: Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Cincinnati, OH; Dallas, TX; Detroit, MI; Kanas City, MO; Memphis, TN; Miami, FL; Phoenix, AZ; or Seattle, WA.
Application
The Ford Philanthropy Scholarship program is currently open. For consideration of the program, students must submit the following items via the online application by December 1, 2024:
- College transcript
- Three letters of recommendation
