Ellen Johnson Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship honors the memory of Ellen Johnson, an Anthropology professor at College of DuPage, a lifelong learner, and educator, and is funded by family and friends of Ellen Johnson. Applicants must be residents of District 502 (College of DuPage’s district), have a cumulative GPA or better of 2.5 or higher, have filed the FAFSA for the applicable academic year, and have completed at least one of the following Anthropology courses:

  • ANTHR-1000 Intro to Anthropology (3 Credits)
  • ANTHR-1100 Cultural Anthropology (3 Credits)
  • ANTHR-1130 People & Cultures of World (3 Credits)
  • ANTHR-1200 Discovering Archaeology (3 Credits)
  • ANTHR-1400 Race, Sex, and Human Evolution (3 Credits)
Applicants must submit a one-page essay discussing how anthropology fits into their future plans. Preference will be given to a student demonstrating financial need.
