Kathy Testa Memorial Challenge Scholarship

This application is for Fall 2025.

PURPOSE: The Kathy Testa Memorial Challenge Scholarship assists a culinary, pastry or hospitality student with tuition, supplies, books, and fees through a culinary challenge, which will require each contestant to prepare a salad and an entree for three people in a two-hour time limit. Independent judges from the culinary professionals will be looking for knife skills, sanitation, and presentation. Produce and proteins are supplied by Testa Produce, and this scholarship is generously funded by Peter Testa.

Applicants must have the following criteria:

• Applicants must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher
• Be enrolled in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, or Hospitality at College of DuPage
• Be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours during the applicable semester.
• Award: Variable based on placement in the competition.

Award Amount: One scholarship for $4,500 (first place), and one scholarship for $2,000 (second place)
