Lon A. Gault Memorial Scholarship for Academic Excellence in History

This application is for Fall 2025.

PURPOSE: The Lon A. Gault Memorial Scholarship for Academic Excellence in History honors a student who has demonstrated success in the study of history, and to support a student working to attend College and has inadequate resources to attend full-time. This scholarship is generously funded through private donations in memory of Lon A. Gault, History Professor at College of DuPage.

Applicants must have the following criteria:

• Applicants must have a full-time commitment in addition to attending College of DuPage (working 25 or more hours per week, single parenthood, etc.).
• Applicant must be enrolled in history classes, be recommended by a history professor, and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher in history classes.
• Applicants may be full-time or part-time students without a baccalaureate degree.
