U.S. Western Digital STEM Scholarship
Western Digital is committed to expanding access to STEM education in the U.S. by reducing financial barriers and increasing representation of historically underrepresented and underserved students in the STEM field. Students must be transferring from a community college to a four-year university.
Recipients are selected based on academic excellence, demonstrated leadership in extracurricular and/or community activities, financial need, and the overall quality of the application. Scholarships are one-time awards of $5,000.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Be a current full-time undergraduate student attending a two-year community college in the United States (U.S.)
• Planning to transfer to full-time enrollment at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S. for the upcoming academic year (for which the scholarship will be applied)
• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in the field of Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other Sciences (not including agricultural, health, or life)
• Have a minimum GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
• Demonstrate financial need or hardship
Please Note: Only applicants meeting all criteria will be considered.
Students who have received two Western Digital Scholarships in the past are ineligible.
Dependents of Western Digital employees who meet the requirements are eligible to apply. However, preference will not be given to employee dependents.
