BrandSource Scholars by Foster Love

Foster Love has partnered with AVB BrandSource to provide transition-aged and aging-out foster youth with a $12,000 trade scholarship for applicants pursuing America’s high-demand trades at a two-year trade school. This scholarship provides recipients with access to workforce opportunities, career coaching, and personal development services to ensure our applicant’s long-term success. The scholarship eases the financial pressures of earning a trade degree while paving the way for a brighter future for our students.

What the Trade Scholarship Offers

• Recipients are awarded up to $12,000 for up to two years of academic support to help with program costs.
• Scholarship funds can be used for housing, academic expenses, and tools and equipment needed for each student’s trade.
• Nurturing a family-like environment that offers support, guidance, and resources to empower our youth every step of the way.
• Career Coaching: Financial Literacy, Career Pathway Support, and Networking Opportunities that grant students job readiness and life skills for the modern workforce.
• 90% student completion rate with 70% of youth pursuing careers in their related fields.

Scholarship Eligibility & Requirements
Applicants for the Trade Scholarship must:

• Provide proof of foster care.
• Be between the ages of 17-25 during the application period.
• Be a United States (U.S.) citizen.
• Have completed a high school diploma or GED.
• Plan to attend an accredited vocational-technical school, trade school, or two-year college.
