The Allan and Gina Carter Prairie Light Review Editor Scholarship
This application is for Fall 2025.
PURPOSE: The Allan and Gina Carter Prairie Light Review Editor Scholarship is an annually expendable fund established to support students serving as editors of the Prairie Light Review at College of DuPage. Allan Carter, Professor Emeritus at College of DuPage, is a founder of the Prairie Light Review and Gina Carter is an alumna of the college.
- Applicants must have the following criteria:
- Must be enrolled in English 2210, Literary Journal: Prairie Light Review, during the semester of the scholarship
- Select works for publication fairly and equitably
- Celebrate the union of written and artistic works in PLR
- Work well with other editors in the class
- Award

- Students enrolled in English 2210 submit a video or an essay no later than the end of Week 3 of the course, describing how they will: 1) Select works for publication fairly and equitably, 2) Celebrate the union of written and artistic works in PLR, 3) Work well with other editors in the class.
