S-STEM Scholarship

The S-STEM Student Success Scholarship Program aims to support full-time and part-time students with financial need who are pursuing careers in engineering, math, chemistry, physics, computer & information science, computer & information technology, or computer science. This scholarship includes monetary awards to help pay for college related expenses, the support of a STEM Student Success Coach, access to paid internship opportunities, and mentoring. Award amounts are dependent on the level of student financial need, up to $8,000 per year. Details can be seen at www.cod.edu/s-stem.

To be eligible for the STEM Student Success Scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Have financial need, shown by having the FAFSA completed for the 2026-2027 school year
  • Be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident, or Admitted Refugee
  • Enroll at least half-time in a degree program or transfer curriculum in a STEM field (eligible majors include chemistry, physics, mathematics, engineering, computer & information science, and computer & information technology)
  • Show academic talent through transcripts and a minimum GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale)

The S-STEM Scholarship committee will review academic records and FAFSA data when reviewing applications. Please be sure to have your 2026-2027 FAFSA on file at College of DuPage prior to the scholarship application deadline, as well as upload academic records with your application.

  • Unfortunately, Health Science majors are not eligible for the STEM Scholarship.

The STEM Scholarship may be renewed for additional years, contingent upon continued student eligibility.

  3. Freshman applicants and current students without any COD grades yet should upload their most recent unofficial high school transcript. Transfer applicants should upload their most recent unofficial college transcript (non-COD schools). Current COD students with some completed coursework should upload a copy of their current COD unofficial transcript (found in MyACCESS).
