The McGreal Family Scholarship

This application is for Fall 2026.

PURPOSE: The purpose of the McGreal Family Scholarship is to honor the memory of Kerstin I. and James McGreal and to help advance person-centered elder care in long-term care, skilled nursing, gerontology, or related health fields.

Applicants must have the following criteria:
  • Applicant must be enrolled in an eligible College of DuPage program related to person-centered elder care, including but not limited to: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), Human Services, Nursing, or another related program emphasizing long-term care, gerontology, or skilled nursing.
  • Applicant must have successfully completed at least one recognized course or training module focused on patient-centered care.
  • Applicant must have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better.
  • Applicant must submit a brief essay on the importance of patient-centered care.
