CSBG Scholarship Program

The DFSS CSBG Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to income-eligible individuals in Chicago pursuing their higher education goals. Students enrolled at least part time for the Fall 2026 semester in any college, university, or vocational training program are eligible to apply.

Funds may be used to cover tuition and institutional fees for the Fall 2026 semester/quarter. Scholarships will range from $1,000 to $5,000 for income-eligible residents.

Application deadline: Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 5:00 PM.

Eligibility Requirements

• You must be a City of Chicago resident with valid supporting documentation.
• You must be within income guidelines with valid supporting documentation.
• You must be enrolled at least part time in an educational institution or trade program for the Fall 2026 semester/quarter.
